Name, Logo and Identity System

Smiz was a start-up web hosting company focused on serving small businesses. They were without a name or any idea how to reach the thousands of businesses who could benefit from their services. After meeting with them, it became clear they wanted to be more than the average hosting companies that are often big on tech speak but short on understanding small business. We needed to make them more human and more accessible. After coming up with the name “Smiz,” we turned the idea that bigger is better on its ear with a logo featuring a smaller, more aggressive dog chasing a bigger dog.
